Examine international management specialization’s role in strategy development within a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary team.

International management is an important area for management students due to globalization, as countries are becoming interconnected and trade barriers are disappearing between nations. However, it is essential in strategy development within a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary team. The following discussion will present the critical roles of specializing in international management in strategy development.

International management help in the elimination of barriers between countries. During strategy formulation, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams can freely acquire knowledge and ideas from other countries in their specialization areas for effective operations. This contributes to the knowledge of how the team can effectively conduct their activities through mutual contribution and cooperation from other disciplines (Rogers et al., 2014). Additionally, specializing in international management also promotes international association. The team can conveniently borrow new strategies from other countries and explore them to enhance their success.

Therefore, specializing in international management is essential for effectively developing strategies. It exposes team members to new ideas and strategies they can explore without national barriers.

Examine the impact of specializations (marketing, management, supply chain management, accounting and finance, organizational information system) on each other in the context of the chosen strategy, i.e., the importance of interdisciplinarity for business and team success.

There is a wide range of specializations that, when combined, helps in attaining organizational goals and objectives. The following are some of the impacts of specialization in interdisciplinary for business and team success. First, it builds on the team members’ collaboration skills when working with other individuals from different perspectives. Second, team members can learn creative solutions from others that aid in solving some challenging problems within the economy, enhancing the firm’s success (Wang, Thijs, and Glänzel, 2015). Finally, interdisciplinary helps different specializations to become interdisciplinary thinkers who can creatively and analytically adopt new ideas they acquire from other team members.
